As the work on my work project continued, a name for it was elusive. As I stared at the drawing the floral design made me smile. As I wracked my brain for a name, I smiled each time I looked at my pile of freshly felted wool and the pattern. Then it came to me, Felicity. One of Webster’s definitions for felicity was ‘warm woolies’. Perfect! The warm wooly fabric and the ability to make me smile when looking at the design. So I present to you my new wall hanging, Felicity. Today I spent cutting out the plastic templates and tracing the appropriate number of pieces onto the fusible. Tomorrow I play with color and fuse onto the wool all the pieces. Then more cutting and finally I can lay out the wools on the background. Will post more photos as I progress through the process. Just a note, the tiny dots you see on the drawing are small cuts of the different wools so I have my color placement guide.
