Learning New Embroidery Stitches

Last night I sat and began going through the pages of the book and attempting to recreate the stitches as shown.  I was able to do the chain stitch, threaded running, Pekinese,coral, fern, fly and closed fly stitches.  The Palestrina Knot and pearl stitch were not quite as shown in the book. I was able to get fairly good at making a bullion knots.  These will be fun o use along the edges of leaves and centers of flowers.

As you can see some stitches were okay and others took a bad turn.  Practice makes perfect.
