Baby Quilts

Yesterday the car window decided to have a mind of its own; to go down and stay down.  Annoying.  So I called the mechanic and dropped off the car.  Mind you, the weather forecast was for wind blown rain later in the day.  While at the mechanic’s shop his wife had tons of baby stuff piled around the office.  I asked her what she was doing and she told me she was collecting baby/infant items for charity.  So, not having quilted anything in a couple of weeks I offered to sew a couple of baby quilts.  She was thrilled.  So home I went and found some pre-cut squares and other strips of fabric and this is what I came up with.  The first is lime green and bright yellow squares with baby stuffed animals for a border.   Measures 36 inches square.  The second is 4 six inch wide outer strips with a ten inch center strip of assorted toys.  Measures 34″x38″.  Now I just need to layer, tie and self-bind.  Should be done by the weekend.
