My Guild Challenge Piece Finally Revealed

Last night we had our annual picnic and members brought in their challenge pieces.  There were so many unique and beautiful pieces, it was hard to vote or my favorites.  Best piecing went to Nancy, always beautiful work.  Viewer’s Choice went to Bobbie with her adorable kitty in the window with 3-D curtains and Best in Creativity went to me for my beaded piece called “Feathers”.  Thanks to all who voted for my design.  Did  I mention that the piece had to be no larger than 5″ x 8″ and required a 3-D element.   Our members who come up with our annual challenge can be a bit diabolical.  Here’s a couple of pictures of my piece.

I can say that I most likely will not be doing that much beading again for a while.
Over the weekend I was able to finish the binding on Jacobean Peacock.  Other than a hanging sleeve it is ready to go to Maine Quilts 2013.
