Garden Growing

In the past week I have watched the green beans start blooming, the cucumbers begin to bud and put out tendrils, the three different squashes bloom, the pepper plants go crazy with blooms and  peppers (who knew that epsom salt dissolved in water would make the plants heavy with peppers) and the mutitude of tomato plants bloom and have tons of baby tomatoes.  My Indigo Rose plants have awesome looking fruit on them.

I was even able to dig up some baby beets the other night for dinner.
We have had so much rain this month, somewhere around 10 inches.  A tremendous amount for South Jersey in the summer.  We need some bright sunshine to dry out a little.  As I write this I am looking out to see a downpour.  So much for the sunny Sunday the weather people promised.
My red and yellow daylilies are now in bloom.  The south side of house and my back flower bed are full of 6 inch blooms.  They smell heavenly.

Even the clematis went wild with blooms.  My hydrangea is just starting to flower.  One of my summer favorites.
