Bennington Quiltfest 2013

Saturday we drove up to Bennington Vermont to attend the show.  This year I entered one quilt, Jacobean Peacock. The weather was crisp and cool and we had a great time.  The town has a wonderful farmers market right down the street from the show with delectable homemade cookies and breads.  Just could not resist an oatmeal raisin cookie; so big it was enough for both of us.
Today UPS delivered my quit back home and to my surprise the box contained two ribbons, a Vendors Choice and a People’s Choice (2nd place).  Then at the bottom was an envelope with a prize to go along with the People’s Choice ribbon.  What a great surprise.

If you are ever traveling in the Bennington Vermont area in September you should stop at this show.  It has great quilts and a large assortment of vendors.

  1. Congrats I knew you would get a ribbon. Your work is so lovely I wish I had one. Third. Your talent. Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. I would like to go up to part of the county. Maybe some day for now you can tell me all about it
