Turkey Tracks

Since we painted our out buildings a couple of weeks ago, I have been adding some wall art to the walls.   I have always loved barns that had huge quilt blocks painted on them so I decided to paint one myself.  Since the buildings are terracotta in color with adobe tan trim, I choose a cream background for my quilt block and olive green for the pattern.  I was finally able to find the vintage Turkey Tracks pattern (picked this because we have at least 50 turkeys wandering the property at any given time) and enlarged the block pieces.  Here’s what it looked like when I began.

So far I have one set of tracks painted with the first coat of paint.  It will need 2-3 more coats  of the green and then sealer.

There will also be a one inch green border around the whole block.  Will post more pictures as I progress with the painting.
