I’m back blogging again after a bit of a hiatus. There has been so much to do outside this time of the year to get ready for winter. The vegetable garden has been disassembled after a very productive summer and fall. The cover crop is planted and has started to sprout even with the cold temperatures we’ve been having. The perennial flower beds are slowly getting cleaned and cut back for winter and the leaves are being raked every 3 or 4 days. They are almost all down now so it’ll be one more big rake up and we’re done.
In between we took a few trips to watch some college football at Princeton. Two home games and the weather at each couldn’t be more different. The first game it was extremely warm (70’s) and sunny. The second game it was 41 and windy. Needed a blanket and stadium cushion as my but got cold from the metal bleachers. Fun to be live at a game.
But the biggest thing occupying my time now has been the restart of my quilt pattern business. A new and dear Facebook friend has encouraged me to start designing and selling my patterns again. Michelle from Raspberry Rabbits is the sweetest and most supportive person you could ever meet. Thanks Michelle for rekindling my passion to create. So, for the past couple of weeks I have been sketching, cutting, sewing, typing and mailing out my patterns. What an overwhelming positive response to my work from my Facebook friends and fellow designers. Thank you to everyone who has purchased my designs. I hope you enjoy making them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
Here’s some pictures of my newest patterns.
Winter Snowflake Pillow
Christmas Bunny Stocking
Sir Bunny Nutcracker Wall Hanging
Patterns hot off the press
And my most recent designs, Rudy Rooster Wall Hanging
And his friend, Jenny Hen Pillow (still needs stuffing)
If you are interested in purchasing one of my patterns just drop me an email.
So now I’ve been working on a couple of Block of the Month designs. One series is something I started sketching in 2012 to make as a quilt; the other is something totally new. One is mostly sketched out and ready to be stitched. Block One should be ready soon. Will give you a sneak peek when it’s finished. I think this series will be a lot of fun to do.
