Today’s the day, the reveal of my newest pattern design, Jacobean Bouquet©.
This is a collection of 12 blocks, one each month featuring an original bouquet of Jacobean flowers. I’ve used a mix of wools, recycled silk, velvet and homespuns added a variety of easy embroidery stitches with some beads and buttons to create each block. Each will finish 16″square. I chose to use recycled wool suiting for the background but I think these would be great on flannel or a mix of cotton backgrounds. This will be a good opportunity for you to use up some of your smaller wool scraps for the applique, no flower or leaf needs more than a 5 inch square of wool.
Each month you will receive the full sized template pattern along with a placement guide. Choose to make this your own by changing the background fabric, using less embroidery or leaving out the beads and buttons.
In June I will provide you with the border pattern, an easy and colorful mix of leaves and dots to coordinate with the blocks.
The cost for the pattern only is $8.00 plus postage. I will have a couple of kits available made up of the wools and homespuns, beads or buttons used (no background). These will be $25.00 plus postage. It will include the pattern and placement guide. Come join me on my Jacobean Bouquet© adventure.
This is January’s block. Bright and cheery for a wintery month.
