Yesterday we did a road trip to Princeton and Pennington. First was a stop for breakfast at Mastori’s. What phenomenal omelets. DH had his favorite, a veggie and mine is the Florentine. After eating these we never eat again until supper. So huge!.
Next was a stop at Needles and Pins in Princeton for a bit of thread shopping. Then onto Pennington Quilt Shop. A few additions to my red and cream stash, an orange for a new design, couple of creams for the ever growing neutral hexie quilt and a fun black and cream that may end up as a table runner or maybe edges for placemats. All in all a fun day out.
And a cute pair of thread snips shaped like a kitty.
Then today I began some Christmas gifts for a friend’s granddaughters; 3 doll quilts and matching nap quilts for the girls. First doll quilt in reds and pinks done and nap quilt blocks are cut out; 5 inch squares in the same fabrics as the doll quilt.
One doll quilt top done. Glad I started early. More pictures as I progress on this project.
