Today we drove up to Somerset to Quilt Fest of New Jersey show. This is a really nice show; not too big and not too small. The quilts were beautiful. Best of Show was a phenomenal piece of handwork. Each block was more enticing than the prior. So worthy of Best of Show. Here’s a long view and a couple of block close ups. Quilter is Eileen Bailey and the quilt name is Cannelle et du Chocolate.
Pictures do not do this quilt justice. Fantabulous!
Second place was another gorgeous applique quilt. Quilter is Christine Wickert and the quilt name is Le Jardin Joyeux.
And my quilt, Home and Hearth won Third Place.
A pleasant surprise.
Tomorrow i will post more photos of the other winners and more applique quilts like a pair of Civil War Bride quilts and some Baltimore Album quilts.
Saw a lot of hand quilted ones too. It was nice to see hand quilting is alive
and well. Until tomorrow.
Plus, I have share some photos of my purchases: gorgeous hand dyed wools, hand dyed silk threads, Japanese taupe and wovens and more. Had a great time buying.
